Hello, just a note: I lay claim to my character; Aya.

Chapter 3: A New Player

The young man gazed over the barren land of his former home. His lavender hair blew lightly in the wind, his quiet, blue eyes held a sadness like none other. He had lost everything, now there was only one way to save it.

He turned to the machine his mother had built for him, in hopes that he could save their home and his father. He prayed to Kami that it would work.

He had thought for a while about when to go back to, before or after the wish was made. It was clear, however, that the only thing to do was to go back after the wish was made; if they were going to get through to him, it would be then.

Then maybe he could see his mother and father again, maybe he would see Gohan agian, and all of his other friends that were dead.

He clinched the bottle in his hand tighter, maybe he would see Goku again. He hoped the medicine would save him. He hoped he could save them all, and himself.

(One year after Goku's return)

Bulma woke again, her three month son being the culprit. She walked over to the crib, and smiled, "You'll never let me get any sleep will you?" the infant stopped crying at the sound of his mother's soft voice.

Bulma sighed, he looked so much like Vejiita, just with her coloring. She reached down and stroked the soft, lavender locks; his blue eyes slid shut. Bulma smiled, exhuastion once again spilling across her features. She walked back to bed, and fell asleep, only to enter a dream world.

* She was surrounded by darkness. "Hello?" she called out, for a moment, all was silent.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "I told you it would only be a matter of time." Bulma spun around, trying to locate Vejiita, but his voice seemed to be coming from around her, "You're mine now, and I won't let you go!"

Bulma was frightened, but curious, "Vejiita!" she called out, "What do you want with me? I still love you! Please come back to me!"

Suddenly, there was an arm around her waist and she was pulled to a warm, familiar body. "Love is for the weak like you," he whispered, "But, since you want me, I'm right here. I have no intention of letting you go once I find you." Bulma shivered, "I will find you, and you will be mine. You can't escape me."*

Bulma shot up from the bed soaked in sweat, her body tingling. She still felt warm, like he was still behind her. 'Oh Kami, Vejiita stop doing this to me!'

Vejiita stared out of the window from his chambers, he was getting tired of Chikyuu, it was so desolate. He refused to leave; however, she was still out there and he had to find her. It would drive him crazy if he didn't. Perhaps, some thought, it already had.

He turned away from the view with disgust. He was getting tired of this, looking for her, he knew she would be difficult to find, she was intelligent. He had just never expected the little bitch to be this good. He could wish for the Shenlong to bring her to him, but that was too easy; he needed a challenge, and this was the only one he had at the moment.

There was a knock at the door, Vejiita growled in response. It was one of the guards, "Your majesty, the rebels have attacked Quadrant five's slave cells and freed the slaves, we have managed to capture the rebels. Commander Zenito is waiting your orders."

Vejiita couldn't help but smile, this was his first break. "Soon, you will be mine again Bulma"

Aya glared contemptously at Vejiita as he arrived, a look of superiority and triumph on his face. He only glanced at the rebels before speaking with Commander Zenito, Zenito nodded and pointed to her, Vejiita glanced down; suprise on his features. It was Aya's turn to look smug. 'He didn't expect me to be the leader. Well, we're all just full of surprises.'

Vejiita seemed to contemplate this for a moment, then he nodded and turned away. Aya frowned in disappointment, she was hoping she would get a chance to talk to him.

Aya got her wish, however. Without warning one of the guards grabbed her and pulled her down the hallway. She was shoved into a large room and the door shut behind her.

She took a moment to examine her surroundings. The room was empty, except for a table and chairs. That's were he was, scowling at her.

She returned the scowl, there was silence between them, until he spoke, "So you're the leader of the rebels." She nodded, "You're the bitch I should kill."

Aya smiled, "You could, but it wouldn't stop them. Those men and women you have down there are only a handful of us. They would come after you with a vengence!"

Vejiita smiled, "Let them, I have plenty of planets wanting slaves and a lack of natives to do business." Aya frowned, "Really though, I have a use for you. Tell me where Bulma Briefs is hidding."

Aya turned pale, it was true; he was still after Bulma. "Like I would tell you!" she spat.

Vejiita frowned, contemplating what she had just said. After a moment, the smirk returned, "Of course, I'm such a baka. Could you at least tell me how she is?"

Aya was shocked, was he concerened about Bulma, or just trying to get information about her where-abouts? She knew Bulma still cared about him, though it was hard to see why. Was there a possibility that he did care for her? Aya couldn't stop the debate inside of her. So she gave him a simple answer, "She's fine."

Vejiita frowned, he had hoped for a more detailed answer. "Little bitch!" he muttured, "I guess I have no use for you."

Aya smiled, "Then I'll be on my way!"

Vejiita was unprepared for her next move. Without warning, Aya grabbed a capsule hidden in her pocket and threw it. It burst into smoke and Aya made her escape through a nearby window.

When the smoke cleared, Vejiita was left there, smirking. "Little fool," he murmured, "you'll regret your careless actions soon enough."

He turned to go to the command tower, where he warriors were already monitoring the rebels every movement. "It's all a matter of time."

Aya ran as fast as she could, her long silverish-white hair flowing behind her. She was almost to the edge of the ruins when a bright light hit the corner of her golden eyes, "Shit!" she cursed, "They're following me!"

She turned, preparing to fight, when she saw an amazing sight. It was not one of Vejiita's men, but a machine. It had Capsule Corp. logo on it, where had it come from? She trembled slightly, as the door open, and it's occupant stepped out. Aya turned pale, took a step back and fainted.
