Part 7: Chikyuu's Fate

Piccolo towered over the dead bodies of Freeza's henchmen. "For such a powerful tyrant," the Namek-jin stated, "he sure chooses weak soldiers."

Piccolo took the time to assess the damage they had done. An entire city laid to waste, thousands of lives lost at the merciliess hands of Freeza's soldiers. "They may be weak, but they have been taught well by Freeza."

He could sense them, all over the planet, killing millions of innocent people. Where was Gohan? Couldn't he sense them as well? 'I can't go around killing all of Freeza's soldiers, I have to go to the brain of the operation. Freeza himself."

Bulma clenched the fist that she held over her heart; she squeezed it so tightly her nails dug into her skin, drawing blood. She was kneeling in front of the throne, her head bowed slightly so she didn't have to look into Vejiita's arrogant face. She spoke slowly, careful of how she pronounced each word. She had less than a day to memorize the oath, which was spoken in the Saiya-jin language.

She cast a glance to her sides. Unlike the other slaves who gave their oath, she was forced to do it alone. Vejiita had done it just to crush her pride. When she had finished, she let out a deep breath and waited. She glanced up at the king, who was smirking down upon her. 'Arrogant bastard.' she cursed mentally.

Satisfied, Vejiita rose from the throne, everyone in the room immedeatly fell on their knees. "Good," Vejiita said, "This is finished. You all have much to do. No one will retire until their work is finished. Now leave!"

Upon his command, the room began to empty. Bulma wandered slowly out of the room, her head bowed in defeat. Vejiita watched her, his pensive eyes studying her every move. Dondurma's words struck him. He had no choice, if there was to be an heir, it would have to be with an alien mate. He had thought of that all day, and reached only one conclusion, it would be her.

Bulma followed Bardock back to the lab. They had been assigned to work together, compiling data for the computers that would feed the Genesis Saiya-jins their memories. Bulma kept staring at him, earning glares from him. Finally, unable to hold back the question anymore. "Did you have any sons?" she queried.

Bardock stopped, stunned by the question. He turned, his face inches from her own. She seemed startled as his warm breath tickled her nose. He seemed surprised at his own reaction, for a moment he was lost in those crystal blue eyes. He had never felt this way, not since his mate. "Yes." he stammered, "I had two sons."

Bulma took a step back, confused by his reaction. "Were their name's Radittz and Go...I mean, Kakarott?"

Bardock's jaw dropped, "How do you know?"

"Goku, I mean, Kakarott and I grew up together on Chikyuu. He was my best friend."

Bardock thought for a moment, "So he didn't die. Yet, somehow, he didn't complete his purging mission."

"Well," Bulma began, "I could explain."

"Is he still alive?"

A tear formed in Bulma's eyes, causing Bardock's stomach to turn, "He was killed by Freeza on Namek-sei. He was a strong warrior, he saved Chikyuu countless times. Do you want me to tell you?"

Bardock went against his desires, "No." he stated simply, "There is much to be done. I don't care about some weakling traitor."

He turned on his heel and marched down to the lab, leaving Bulma very stunned.

Freeza seemed as if he didn't notice the Namek-jin landed softly on the grass in front of him. "Call back your troops." Piccolo stated, "This is between you and I, not the people of this planet."

Freeza turned his gaze onto Piccolo, "That is where you are both wrong, and right. You see, my battle is not with you, it is with the Saiya-jins." Piccolo clenched his fists, "Until I find them, I will have to continue to ravage Chikyuu. Unless, you help me find the little hybrid and the Saiya-jin no Ouji."

Piccolo shook his head, giving an honest reply, "Vejiita never came to Chikyuu."

Freeza's lips turned to a frown, "I should have known. That coward would never show his face to you after fleeing from the battle field like a dog with his tail between his legs. Well then, where is the brat?"

Piccolo shrugged his shoulders, "Good question." he replied, "Since he's not here, you'll just have to deal with me."

Freeza smiled, "I had every intention of doing so, I would be rude to do otherwise."

Piccolo slid into a fighting stance, but he never saw it coming. In a flash, Freeza appeared behind him, his fist smashing into Piccolo's kidney. Piccolo's eyes rolled back as he gripped his stomach. Freeza then grabbed his shoulders and spun him around, his tail smacking his cheek. "Still won't tell me?" Freeza smirked.

"Bastard." Piccolo spat, "I'll see you in Hell before I tell you where Gohan is."

"So be it." Freeza said. Freeza squeezed Piccolo's arm tightly, and with one fluid motion, the appendege was torn from the body. Freeza tossed the arm aside and sighed, "That was really a waste, you can just regenerate that, can't you?" He grinned cruelly, as Piccolo clutched his shoulder, "Tell me, Namek-jin, can you regenerate your head?"

Piccolo gasped in horror as Freeza's tail smashed into his head, crushing his skull. Piccolo fell to the ground, his eyes rolling into the back of his head, blood forming a pool around him. "Gohan." he breathed his last breath.

Freeza sighed, "That was rather boring." he turned to a soldier, "Tell me, where is the highest power level on this planet?"

The soldier turned his scouter on, taking his time to scan the planet, "It seems, my Lord, there are none really. They're all to weak to be a Saiya-jin."

Freeza turned into the ship, "Just as I thought, the little hybrid has gone in search of Vejiita, for what reasons I do not know. Call all of your men back, there has been a change in plans."

Gohan clenched his stomach, something was wrong. His head began to throb and he began to lose sight. Fear and anger tore through his body, paralyzing him. It seemed like an eternity before the pain vanished. "What the..." Gohan stuttered as he gasped for air, "What just happened?"

A sudden realization overcame him, he uttered one single word, "Piccolo." Then, in despair, he began to weep.

Bulma craddled her head in her palm as her eyelids began to slide shut, "Stay awake!" Bardock

snapped, "You've done nothing but slow us down."

Bulma snapped up, her eyes popped open, "Sorry," she stammered, "I haven't slept for a while."

Bardock grunted, and relaxed. They set back to work, programing the computers. Bardock watched Bulma, in awe of her intellegence. True, he himself was considered a genius of the Saiya-jin race, but that never got him very far; he lacked too much power. Sighing at his own self-pity, he was startled by the sound of a door slamming shut.

Bulma spun around on her chair, and the two came face-to-face with Vejiita. They both fell onto their knees to show their 'respect' for the King.

Vejiita frowned when he saw Bardock, he had hoped she would be alone. No matter, she would be soon enough, "Bardock," Vejiita said coldly, "you may leave."

Bardock glanced up at his King. He recogninzed the look on his face, the fire in his eyes. Bardock glanced over at Bulma, his stomach turning in knots, an unfamiliar wave of jealousy hit him. He nodded and took his leave.

Bulma kept her head bowed and waited. When she heard the door click shut, she carefully glanced up at Vejiita. He was studying her, he frowned and cursed under his breath. What was going on? Then, with one swift motion, she was on her feet; wrapped in his arms. "Vejiita?" she choked, "What are you doing? I have work to do!"

"Shut up bitch." he spoke softly, almost lovingly. "This is a new assignment."

Bulma stiffened as his hands began to pull at her shirt, untucking it. She gasped as his warm lips found her neck. She fought with her desire, 'You can't do this!' she told herself, 'You don't want this!' She knew that wasn't true.

"Vejiita!" she nearly screamed, "I don't want this!"

"Really?" Vejiita teased, "We shall see." his hands began to massage her stomach, his teeth lightly grazed the soft flesh of her neck. Bulma betrayed her reason with a soft moan. "I thought you didn't want this?" he purred softly into her ear.

She turned so she was facing him, she had given up on reason. She leaned in and kissed his lips deeply, catching him off guard. Without any warning he ripped of her shirt and continued his exploration. His warm hands were soft and comforting, something she had needed for quite some time.

Vejiita wasn't sure why he felt this way, but he had since he first saw her. So many things had happened since then, he wasn't even sure why he had brought her here. This wasn't right! He pulled away, angry and confused by his emotions. Bulma stared at him, upset. 'Why do I want her like this? It wasn't supposed to be this way.'

Cautiously, Bulma leaned back into his embrace, he stiffened for a moment, then allowed himself to relax, the two held eachother for what seemed like an eternity. Then, as the moon began to shine through the window, Vejiita carried Bulma to his chambers for the night.

Dende stared blankly into space, Piccolo, Nail, and Kami were dead. All three of them in one strike. A tear stained the young Namek-jin's face. They were all dead, Freeza will kill them all. The earth began to tremble and Dende knew that Chikyuu would meet it's fate now, at the hands of Freeza. Light began to blind him, light from the depths of the earth. It was over now, Chikyuu was dead.
