Part 6: Arrival

The King stared into space as the Chikyuu woman dragged on about 'Genesis'. He had already been taught about 'Genesis' by his many tutors on Vejiita-sei. As a young prince, he was expected to be intellegent as well as strong. He understood all the concepts behind 'Genesis', they just didn't interest him. The woman's voice, however, intrigued him. She spoke so well and so confindently; her voice was soft, yet full of confidence. It was the only thing that keept him from stopping the meeting.

Dondurma sat to the side, waiting patiently for the Chikyuu-jin to finish. He was proud of what they had accomplished in two days, nothing short of a miracle. He was surprised the King wished to hear the woman speak, perhaps it was a test to make sure she knew the project.

Bulma sighed after finishing her lecture. She smiled and bowed politely, signaling she had finished. The king nodded, "Good," he said flatly, "you've taught her well, Dondurma. I would wish for you to begin right away. Also, I need a mate. Select the best DNA samples you have and get started on her immediately."

Dondurma bit his lip, obviously in an odd position, "There is a slight problem with that, sire." he said, trying to hide the fear in his voice.

Vejiita hiked an eyebrow, "Elaborate." he said, "No," he ammended, "let her explain."

Bulma glanced over to Dondurma, who nodded. Bulma noticed the fear in his eyes, the King would not like this. "There are a few genetic flaws in the first generation of Genesis." she stated, she could here a soft growl from the Saiya-jin, "It seems they can only mate with another Saiya-jin created by 'Genesis'. It is a flaw that, our reasearch tells us, that is only found with the first generation. Once they mate and produce children, their children don't have the flaws that their parents have."

"Flaws?" the King said, slowly, "There are more?"

"Well," Bulma continued, "a few, I..."

"She doesn't understand the others." Dondurma inturrupted, "I haven't taught her about you social structure and class system. She doesn't know about the Super Saiya-jin."

"What does THAT have to do with anything?" Vejiita demanded, more angry.

"When we first discovered that you couldn't take a mate, we thought about just creating an heir with some of your DNA. However, the Super Saiya-jin gene cannot carry through in 'Genesis'. It seems that none of the Saiya-jins created can reach a stage beyond the Elite. This flaw does disappear with the second generation as well, but that would mean the heir to the throne would not have your blood, a necessary requirement."

"Well then, what do you suggest be done?"

Dondurma became uncomfortable again, "I know that this goes against your Saiya-jin standards, but you could take an alien mate. True, the heir would only be half Saiya-jin, but his Saiya-jin genes would be very dominate, and once he takes a mate from the second generation of 'Genesis' that alien gene would slowly be overpowered by Saia-jin genes, and in three or four generations, he would be full blooded. Remember, you set the standards for this new empire."

Vejiita looked thoughtfully at Bulma then frowned, "I will have to think about this situation. I will speak to you about it later, Dondurma. Is there anything else?"

"Actually," Dondurama said, "she has a request."

Vejiita sighed, "Let her make it then."

Bulma smiled slightly, "Dondurma has told me that in the early stages of 'Genesis', they cloned a Saiya-jin scientist. They never woke him because they saw no need. However, we see a need for a Saiya-jin to help us fill the 'Genesis' Saiya-jins with knowledge of their background. We would like your permission to wake him."

"I grant you that permission." The king stated, "Wake him immeadiately and bring him here."

Freeza stared idily into space as he waited for the report to return. He was jarred back to reality when a soldier entered. The warrior slid into a kneeling position and bowed his head respectfully. "Lord Freeza, we will be entering Chikyuu's atomosphere in thirty minutes."

A smirk appeared on Freeza's face, all thougts of boredom replaced with fond plans of death and destruction. He would not just kill the Saiya-jins, he would create a living hell. Especially for the Prince. When he was finished with them, they will be more than happy to die.

Gohan curled up on the mattress, all hope for sleep had vanished. According to the computer, it would take three months to reach his destination. Three months was too long, but he had no choice. Questions haunted him: Should he have waited? No, true, three months was long, but it would've been too long to wait for the dragonballs.

He had made the right choice, he had to keep telling himself that. He would find Bulma and kill Vejiita for all the wrong that he had done. Then, they could all rest in peace.

Bulma frowned, she had no intention of returning to the throne room so soon, but there she was again. Vejiita glared at her with obvious dislike. 'Well,' she thought, 'the feeling is mutual.' The clone waited outside the door. Bulma had yet to see him, but she had to tell Vejiita a few things at first. "The clone doesn't know what he his." Vejiita looked confused, "I mean," she elaborated, "He doesn't realize he is a clone. He truly thinks he is the Saiya-jin we created him from. His memories are accurate up until the last time they took his DNA, which is a few weeks before the destruction of Vejiita-sei. Therefore, his memory is fairly complete. Dondurma and I believe that it is best that we don't tell him he is a clone. Dondurma is currently telling him that he was off world when Freeza attacked. It will be hard to convince him, but it might work. He will tell the clone that he was attacked and in a coma when he was found. The Bati-jins put him in a tank and decided to wake him if they saw fit. At least, that is what we agreed upon telling him. Dondurma should be here soon, once he has finished. Do you agree to keep this up?"

Vejiita frowned, "Fine." he spat, "Although I have no intentions of interacting with this low-class Saiya-jin. I don't care what he knows. Please, bring him in."

Bulma turned as Dondurma escorted a Saiya-jin in. Her breath caught in her throat as the man came into the light. His skin was a beautiful dark tan and his face marked by a scar Dondurma had placed in the early stagesof his development. His face, Bulma almost burst into tears. "Goku." she whispered.

The Saiya-jin turned to her, confusion on his face. Vejiita glared down at the soldier, anger written in his features. "Kakarott?" he questioned, the warrior quickly turned and stared in surprise at Vejiita.

"My prince!" he exclaimed, sliding onto one knee, his right hand slapped against his chest.

Vejiita became furious, "Bardock!" he cursed. Bulma studied the Saiya-jin, he looked identical to Goku. How could that be? Vejiita glared with obvious disgust, "I'm no longer your prince." he stated coldly, "I am your king."

Bardock nodded respectfully, "Of course, my king."

"That is better." he stated, "You have been awakened so that you may help recreate the Saiya-jin empire, consider yourself fortunate. Dondurma and my slave will tell you everything you need to know." he turned to Bulma, "You, slave, may leave and take Bardock to the science division and give him a tour. Tonight, you will return and pledge your oath of loyalty to me."

Bulma hiked an eyebrow and placed her hands on her hips. "Says who?" she demanded, "Since when did I become your slave? I don't even know why I'm here. I brought you to Bati-sei, I get to leave."

The motion was too quick for Bulma's sight, but Bardock saw it. There was a gust of warm air around her and the next thing she knew, she was against a wall. "Bitch," he growled, "you have no choice. You will NOT leave Bati-sei until I see fit. You have no power, either you stay, or you die."

Bulma squirmed, pain ripped through her body. "Then kill me." she spat, "Let me join my friends then. I won't help you anymore."

Vejiita raised a hand to strike her, but a new thought came to mind. Smiling cruelly, "So death is an escape, well we can't have that. Perhaps I should re-word what I said before. Either you do as I say, or you AND Chikyuu will suffer the fate that your friends suffered under Freeza."

Bulma glared at Vejiita, wishing she could defy him. She then sighed in defeat, "Fine," she whispered, "I'll give you my oath tonight."

Vejiita smiled, "I know you will." he purred, releasing her, "Now, take Bardock and leave."

Bulma nodded, rubbing her shoulder from where he had held her. The two made a quick exit.

Freeza glanced boredly at the scenery before him. "Such a dull planet." he noted, "I had expected a greeting of sorts. Where are all of the planets warriors?"

Freeza's tail waved idily, his face sculpted into a frown. "Such a disappointment." he muttered. Turning to his soldiers, "Bring me the Saiya-jins at once!" he barked, "Tear this planet apart until you find them!"
